The 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest technology and AI event, will bring together more than 6,800 enterprises and 2,000 startups from 180 countries at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17.
The 2025 edition focuses on the use of artificial intelligence across future-critical sectors such as biotechnology, quantum computing, semiconductors and data centres. Running in parallel, Expand North Star 2025 will be held from October 12 to 15 October at Dubai Harbour, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. The event will gather 2,000 startups and more than 1,200 global investors managing assets worth $1.1 trillion.
The exhibition will showcase developments from major global companies including Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Google, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Salesforce, alongside new participants such as Qualcomm, ServiceNow and Tata Electronics.
Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre, said the event reinforces Dubai’s position as a global platform for innovation. “Future-critical sectors including data centres, biotech, quantum and robotics are where AI ingenuity is converging with humanity’s most pressing challenges,” she said.
The 2025 edition records the highest level of international participation to date, with Brazil joining as Country Partner with its largest-ever tech delegation. Serbia, Chile and Pakistan will also feature prominently, along with new national pavilions from Canada, Spain, Türkiye and Ecuador.
Data infrastructure takes centre stage as the global data centre market is projected to surpass US$500 billion this year. Among the participants is O’Leary Ventures, developer of what is billed as the world’s largest AI data centre park in Canada, and Khazna, the region’s leading hyperscale provider under G42.
In health technology, GITEX Digi Health & Biotech will explore the role of AI in gene editing, mRNA therapies and precision medicine. Trevor Martin of Mammoth Biosciences will discuss AI’s potential to help cure genetic diseases, while Matt Angle of Paradromics will present advances in neurotechnology and brain-computer interfaces.
Quantum computing will also be in focus with IBM unveiling Quantum System Two, alongside PsiQuantum and IONQ. Robotics firms Tensor and K2 will debut new humanoids and autonomous robocars as physical AI gains traction across industries.
Global semiconductor leaders AMD and Tenstorrent will highlight next-generation processors driving sovereign AI infrastructure. Tenstorrent CEO Jim Keller will discuss the strategic importance of semiconductor innovation in building national AI capabilities.
Expand North Star will feature more than 40 unicorns, including Cerebras, Fluidstack and Xpanceo. Highlights include the world’s largest AI supercomputer, developed with G42, and AI-powered smart contact lenses that integrate augmented reality and healthcare functions.
