The inaugural race of the Emirates Villages Run Series 2025 took place in Fujairah’s Qidfa area under the patronage of Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs’ Families Affairs and Chairman of the Emiratis Council for Balanced Development (ECBD).
The winners were honoured by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Mohamed Khalifa Bakhit Al Kaabi, Secretary-General of the ECBD, and several national officials and dignitaries.
The event drew a strong community turnout, uniting participants of all ages and people of determination in an atmosphere of pride and inclusivity. Designed to encourage fitness and community spirit, the race featured a 1.5 km Family Run, five kilometre Community Run, and 10 km Competitive Run.
The Emirates Villages Run Series serves as both a community and sporting platform celebrating the UAE’s unity, cultural heritage, and natural beauty. Traditional Emirati performances and local cultural showcases added to the festivities, highlighting the nation’s deep-rooted values of belonging and shared identity.
