Takalam, the UAE-based digital mental health platform, has partnered with Inception, a G42 company specialising in artificial intelligence, to launch Sanad, the country’s first bilingual AI assistant built to support therapists.
Developed through a year-long collaboration, Sanad automates patient intake, assists with case preparation, and reduces administrative work, giving therapists more time to focus on human connection and care. The AI assistant, fluent in Arabic and English, has been trained on data reflecting the MENA region’s cultural and clinical context and validated for security and effectiveness.
Khawla Hammad, Founder and CEO of Takalam, said Sanad bridges empathy and technology. “It blends cultural understanding with advanced AI to create tools that make people feel seen, heard, and supported while empowering therapists to focus on what truly matters — human care.”
Ashish Koshy, CEO of Inception, said the partnership highlights the UAE’s leadership in AI-driven health innovation. “With Sanad, we’re proving that AI can be both safe and transformative, setting a global benchmark for digital mental health solutions,” he said.
As Sanad moves into its next testing phase, Takalam and Inception are calling on healthcare providers, research institutions, and strategic partners to collaborate in refining and scaling the solution across the region.
