The 12th Sharjah International Film Festival for Children & Youth (SIFF), organised by FUNN – Sharjah Media Arts for Youth and Children, continued with screenings and discussions celebrating Arab cinema’s creativity and diversity.
The Green Carpet spotlighted the Saudi film Hajeer, directed by Sara Taleb, set in 1960s Jeddah. It tells the story of a young musician who loses his hearing and rediscovers hope and love through resilience.
As part of its focus on nurturing new talent, the festival launched its first film project pitching session connecting filmmakers with producers and investors. Panels also explored how Arab cinema is reimagining folklore, history, and youth storytelling.
