The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator, a six-month programme designed to help national brokers establish their own real estate firms.
Run in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy and RIT Dubai, the initiative is part of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai to strengthen the UAE’s global position as an entrepreneurship hub.
The incubator will support 50 Emirati firms in its first edition, starting October 27 at Dubai Silicon Oasis. Participants will receive training in brokerage operations, legal frameworks, project management, marketing, and the use of technology and AI in real estate. The goal is to transition independent brokers into full-fledged agencies that operate to international standards.
Omar Hamad Bushahab, Director-General of DLD, said the programme aims to build “a new generation of Emirati brokers” and strengthen the sustainability of the property market. Since the launch of the Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme in 2024, 1,800 new Emirati brokers have joined the industry, completing transactions worth AED 10 billion.
On completion, participants will receive accredited certificates and one year of professional follow-up and mentorship to support their market entry. – WAM
