After five months of silence, the Dubai Fountain will once again light up Downtown Dubai on October 1, marking the end of Phase One of renovation works.
The world’s largest choreographed fountain system, which has been undergoing essential maintenance since April, is set to resume its water, light and music shows that have long been a magnet for residents and visitors.
Phase One works included tiling, insulation and paint to preserve the fountain’s structure and ensure continued safety and reliability. According to Emaar, Phase Two of the renovation will be completed in the second quarter of 2026 and will introduce new creative elements to enhance the visitor experience.
Performances will follow the regular schedule, with two afternoon shows at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm daily, and on Fridays at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Evening shows will run every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
“The return of Dubai Fountain is a celebration of Dubai itself, its spirit, its energy, and its ability to inspire the world,” said Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar. “This landmark has always brought people together, creating shared moments of wonder and joy.”
Since its launch in 2009, the fountain has become one of Dubai’s most recognisable attractions, drawing millions of visitors to Downtown each year.
With Phase Two set to introduce new features in 2026, the fountain will continue to evolve as a symbol of Dubai’s ambition and innovation.
